My philosophy...

I remained in solo practice from 1982 until October 2003 to maintain a certain character and atmosphere in my practice of medicine. Committed to a doctor-patient relationship based on communication and mutual respect, I encouraged each patient to assume the primary role in his or her health care and to utilize me as an educated consultant in the process. Healthy lifestyles which include regular exercise, balanced and moderate food consumption, avoidance of cigarettes and recreational drugs, and the ongoing quest for self-improvement and joy are the basic ingredients in the "Good Health Formula." As a physician, I recommend a variety of conventional and complementary therapies while emphasizing personal responsibility. In my practice, my patients and I shared responsibility by working cooperatively to facilitate the healing process and the maintenance of good health over time. I urge each of you to seek a physician who will honor your 'body ownership' and partner with you in your efforts for self care.
